In Honor of 1st Lt Michael LiCalzi
We are a family who came to together after our son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend 1st Lt Mike LiCalzi died in Iraq while serving as a Tanker in the USMC
Mike was 24 years old and had only been in Iraq for six weeks when he died for our country on May 11, 2006. It happened when Mike’s M1A1 Battle Tank in which he and three other Marines were manning during a night operation, flipped off a bridge into a canal in Anbar province, Iraq. All four of the young Marines in the tank could not be rescued and drowned. The Foundation was started in 2008 by Mike's brother and father, Greg & Greg to honor Mike and keep his legacy alive.
The corporate mission of the Foundation is to provide financial aid and assistance to disabled and/or disadvantaged individuals, whether directly or through contributions to charitable organizations, particularly armed services personnel and their families without regard to race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, color, or creed. Emphasis is placed on assisting charities and charitable causes supported by 1st LT LiCalzi during his life or those likely to be beneficiaries of his support today.
Your support and contributions will help us keep Mike's legacy alive and help those in need. Thank you.
